Indie filmmaking is one of the passions for Kathy. She has had multiple works to be included as official selections at film festivals globally. Her work has screened in the United Kingdom, India, Italy, Germany, Vancouver, Philly, Los Angeles (LA Live), Atlanta, Houston, New York, Fayetteville, AR, Memphis, and Nashville, TN. She has even won a few festival categories.
She is open for new projects and collaboration, as well as continuous learning and mentoring.
She is extremely excited about her new roles as
associate producer (2021) and executive producer (2023).
First of the Documentaries
Film poster for Kathy's documentary debut, I Am a Caregiver, which received the audience award and the 2016 "Best Hometowner Documentary Feature,"
Indie Memphis Film Festival.
Her second documentary was a short, produced by way of winning the competitive Magnifying Glass grant in 2017. Her chosen social justice topic was grant on elder abuse in Shelby County, TN.
The work is entitled Senescence Lost.
